DE-ESCALATE Training for Corrections Officers (8 hour certification course) will be offered on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 0800 to 1700 in Tallahassee, FL.
The 8 hour DE-ESCALATE certification course is a complete training that will teach officers:
* the science behind young adult frustration, anger and aggression,
* why young adults become aggressive,
* differences between adult and young adult aggression,
* how to de-escalate angry and aggressive young adults using the Aggression Control Model,
* interactive video scenario de-escalation practice on actual officer/young adult incidents, and
* live young adult role play scenario practice.
