What Makes Us Unique

DE-ESCALATE is unique because our programs are:

DE-ESCALATE is unique because our professionals are:

  • highly experienced, educated and respected in their different fields,
  • recognized by their peers, and
  • dedicated to improving the safety and security of their colleagues and the youth with whom they work.

In the fields of law enforcement, corrections, probation and parole, private security, and education
our professionals have used the DE-ESCALATE program and can attest to its rigor.

ONE DE-ESCALATION PROGRAM DOES NOT FIT ALL!

You will be trained only by an experienced professional in your field

who is an expert in the DE-ESCALATE program designed for your field.

Our interactive video training scenarios recreate actual incidents of aggression found
in your specific workplace! Where feasible, we use youth and adults in role playing.

Our scenarios present age, gender, race and ethnicity as factors

because you will face them in reality.

Research  Based

Our programs use scientifically based research that supports both the content and instructional methods that have been proven effective.
Scientifically based research must:

  • employ systematic, empirical methods that draw on observation or experiment;
  • involve rigorous data analyses that are adequate to test the stated hypotheses and justify the general conclusions;
  • rely on measurements or observational methods that provide valid data across evaluators and observers,

    and across multiple measurements and observations; and

  • be accepted by a peer-reviewed journal or approved by a panel of independent experts
    through a comparatively rigorous, objective, and scientific review.

Evidence Based

Evidence based is a term that emphasizes the quality, robustness, or validity of scientific evidence as it is brought to bear on an issue.
The goal of evidence based programming is the integration of:

  • expertise,
  • scientific evidence, and
  • end-user perspectives to provide high-quality services reflecting the interests, values, needs, and choices of the individuals served.
