This is a survival tool!

“This is a survival tool that should be mandatory to attend unless you want to make your job harder. This training needs to be an immediate addition to every police academy and in-service training across the nation. Jeff Golden and his crew are awesome and taught an old dog some new tricks. GREAT, NECESSARY TRAINING!”

This is the growing trend in courts.

“This is the growing trend in courts, in public opinion and in law enforcement organizations. It will lower the amount of force used, prevent injuries and gain compliance so we can accomplish our mission with less effort. This course is probably the future of police training.”

Valuable training.

“Valuable training. This is a skill every law enforcement officer (and corrections) should acquire. Specific tools, very clear and easy to understand to greatly reduce excessive force and more lives (both LEO and youth) can be saved.”

More agencies should be using it across the United States.

“Without any doubt your course works hands down. More agencies should be using it across the United States. Good material based on real life. Simple, clear and easy to use.”

Sadly, these researchers have repeatedly warned departments that their poor policies and training were going to get them into trouble...yet few listen. "Investigators attributed officers’unlawful stop, search, and arrest practices to (1) key departmental policies and (2) glaring deficiencies in training and oversight. The report associated the widespread use of aggressive tactics with crime-control policies that incentivized officers but also damaged police-community relations. Officers appeared disposed to use force rather than employing de-escalation techniques, including with mentally ill persons."

Sadly, this is another example of school officials who are poorly trained (if at all) in youth-specific de-escalation techniques and safe restraints. It pains us to see such things knowing that there are safe and effective alternatives with DE-ESCALATE. ... See MoreSee Less
